COVID-19 Cases Emerge at Casablanca School Following Return to In-Person Classes

A few days after the resumption of face-to-face classes in Morocco, three cases of coronavirus have already been reported at Lycée Lyautey in Casablanca. These are two students from different classes and a member of the staff.
Following the discovery of these three positive cases, contact cases have been identified and isolated. They will have to resume distance learning until the autumn holidays.
In a letter addressed to one of the parents, the principal of the French institution, Stéphane Sachet, confirmed the information. He invited the parents to have their child tested and to isolate him for 14 days.
He also reassured the parents of the availability of the school’s health service by their side. Like the contact cases, the students who tested positive for the coronavirus will also follow the distance learning courses as soon as they recover.
