COVID-19 Cases Surge in Morocco’s Fès-Meknès Region, Deaths Rise Sharply

The counter of contamination cases is going crazy in Fès and Meknès. According to the Regional Health Delegation, the epidemiological indicators of the region are very worrying, in view of the weekly figures.
The Fès-Meknès region recorded 1,286 positive Covid-19 cases during the period from August 8 to 15. The city of Fès continues to hold the torch as the most contaminated city, with 581 positive cases recorded during the same period.
As for the number of deaths that occurred during the same period, it has seen a worrying increase. In one week, the region recorded 31 deaths, compared to 22 the previous week. "The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in the region is 97," reports 2m.ma, which points out that the number of recoveries is 2,015 patients during the same period, compared to 1,036 patients cured during the week of August 2 to 8.
