Morocco Reports Record 44 COVID-19 Deaths in Single Day, Total Fatalities Reach 2,113

Morocco experienced its worst day on Monday, September 28, 2020 with the death of 44 people following their contamination with the coronavirus. Since the announcement of the first case on March 10, 2113 people have died of Covid-19 in the Kingdom.
In detail, the Casablanca-Settat region alone experienced 19 deaths with 13 in Casablanca, 4 in Berrechid, and one death in Nouaceur and one in Médiouna. 4 deaths were recorded in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region: one death in Rabat, Skhirat, Khémisset and Sidi Kacem. 5 deaths were recorded in the Marrakech-Safi region, including 4 in Marrakech and one in Youssoufia.
The Beni Mellal region saw the death of 4 people, one respectively in Béni Mella, Khénifra, Khouribga and Azilal. The same number of deaths was observed in the Daraâ Tafilalet region (3 in Midelt and one in Tinghir). Three other deaths in the Fez-Meknès region (1 in Taza, 1 in Meknès and 1 in Sefrou).
In the Oriental region, the ministry recorded 3 new deaths on Monday, all in Oujda, while Tétouan saw the death of two people.
