Court Ruling: Bluetooth Hands-Free Calling While Driving Now Legal in Morocco

A motorist obtained the cancellation of her ticket by the court for using her phone by connecting via Bluetooth.
According to the daily Al Massae, this is a first. The victim and plaintiff obtained from the court of first instance of Kénitra the cancellation of her ticket, after being caught in the act of using this kit.
The offender had received a fine of 1,000 dirhams which she contested in court. And she won her case. For the court of first instance of Kénitra, the report drawn up on this occasion is null and void.
According to the same daily, the report blamed the motorist for having a telephone in her hands. "But no provision of the highway code says that this is an offense punishable by a fine," notes the same source, which specifies that this provision existed in the previous code.
Now removed in favor of the reform of this law in 2016, only the fact of speaking on the phone while driving, with the device in hand, constitutes a violation of the law.
