Controversy Surrounds Moroccan Star Ounahi’s $8 Million Transfer to Marseille
More than a month after the transfer to Olympique de Marseille (OM) of Moroccan international Azzedine Ounahi, some media are still questioning the behind-the-scenes of this recruitment. The latest is from sports journalist Stéphane Guy.
It was on RMC that Stéphane Guy elaborated on the 8 million euro transfer of Moroccan player Azzedine Ounahi from Angers SCO. In the early hours of his arrival, many had expressed doubts about his ability to withstand the pressure of the Marseille club. This time it is about the circumstances of his transfer that are in question, reports Sport.fr.
"The last shady transfer, I urge you to look closely at what happened, it’s the transfer of Ounahi to Marseille. It’s very doubtful. There were a lot of intermediaries, not the ones who should have (crunched)," Stéphane Guy said on the RMC airwaves.
The Moroccan player is one of those who made headlines during the winter transfer window due to his performances in Qatar. Of the many clubs that had targeted him, OM managed to convince him. But for the sports presenter, the 22-year-old Moroccan would have been surrounded by multiple intermediaries. He calls for the terms of this contract, surrounded by many gray areas, to be verified.
