Marseille Set to Sign World Cup Standout Azzedine Ounahi from Angers

Olympique de Marseille should officially announce the arrival of Azzedine Ounahi, a 22-year-old midfielder from Angers. The player, who was the revelation of Morocco at the last World Cup in Qatar, will join the Phocaean club.
The agreement between the two clubs provides for a fixed transfer of 8 million euros, as well as bonuses that can be easily achieved. In addition, Angers retains a percentage on a possible future sale of Ounahi. The latter, who was playing in the French third division just two years ago, had attracted the attention of several English clubs, including Leeds and its Spanish sporting director Víctor Orta.
The Moroccan player took the time to reflect on his future after the World Cup, but the difficult situation of Angers, currently last in Ligue 1, allowed him to reach an agreement with Marseille. Ounahi should quickly join the group and bring his technical touch and vision of play to the Marseille midfield.
