Doubts Emerge Over Azzedine Ounahi’s Fit at Marseille After World Cup Success

The transfer of Moroccan international Azzedine Ounahi to Olympique Marseille (OM) is causing doubts among some skeptics. They believe that the player will not be able to withstand the pressure and demands of a club as prestigious as Marseille.
Does Azzedine Ounahi have the potential required by a club like OM? Many observers think that the player’s abilities that made big clubs run during this winter transfer window could be ephemeral. For them, the player may no longer be able to reproduce the feats that made him one of the revelations of the 2022 Qatar World Cup with Morocco, reports foot01.com.
On Europe 1, Marc Libbra, a former Marseille striker, expressed reservations about the Moroccan player’s potential. "Since he’s been at Angers, he hasn’t been the greatest of players. I hope it won’t be a flash in the pan. He doesn’t know the coach, and I hope he wants him. There are no special privileges."
He points out that the enthusiasm for Ounahi can disappear over time. "If other players come back to their best level, I don’t know if he’ll have his place. I wish him the best, but it won’t be easy," said Marc Libbra. The Moroccan midfielder is starting his new adventure under the curious gaze of many people he will have to convince with each game with Olympique de Marseille.
