Marseille’s Ounahi Linked to Saudi Transfer as Club Seeks January Funds

Olympique de Marseille (OM) is counting on the "sale" of Moroccan international Azzedine Ounahi to have the financial means to allow it to recruit players in January to strengthen its squad.
The departure of Azzedine Ounahi from OM is imminent. Negotiations between the Marseille club and Saudi Arabia have already resumed for the transfer of the Moroccan international to the Middle East in January, reveals L’Équipe, adding that OM is counting on his departure to recruit players in order to strengthen its squad. Al-Shabab, Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli would like to acquire the services of the 23-year-old player, the latter would show interest in the first two Saudi clubs. His market value is estimated at 15 million euros by CIES. His contract with the Olympic club runs until June 2027.
Arrived at Olympique de Marseille (OM) during the winter transfer window for 8 million euros thanks to his brilliant participation in the 2022 Qatar World Cup, punctuated by a semi-final, Azzedine Ounahi is struggling to impose himself in the Phocaean city. This season, he has played 17 matches, scored 2 goals for 13 starts.
