Marseille’s Azzedine Ounahi Sidelined for Months with Toe Injury

The Olympique de Marseille (OM) player and Moroccan international Azzedine Ounahi will be absent for a long time due to a toe injury. This injury occurred during the friendly match between Morocco and Brazil (2-1) on March 25. Doctors have diagnosed a more serious injury than expected and have announced a several-month absence for the player.
This injury is a blow for OM and for Morocco. Azzedine Ounahi was hoping to prove his abilities, especially since he was the subject of criticism for his ability to handle the pressure of the Marseille team. Barely had he begun to regain his footing that he already has to face a premature end of the season. The Atlas Lion will miss at least two months of competition.
The player is now awaiting surgery and will then follow a long healing period. This will be a difficult challenge for the player who will have to show patience and perseverance to regain his level and regain his rightful place within the Marseille team.
