Comedian Gad Elmaleh Joins Global Support for 5-Year-Old Trapped in Moroccan Well

The Canadian-Moroccan comedian Gad Elmaleh is moved by the story of Rayan, a 5-year-old boy, trapped in a 45 cm diameter well since last Tuesday, after an accidental fall.
Gad Elmaleh is touched by the story of little Rayan. In a post on social media, he expresses his solidarity with the boy. "Strength, thoughts, prayers for you my little Rayan and for all those who work to save you," he writes on a photo of the child. "Rayan, 5 years old, fell into a dried-up 32-meter deep well. He is stuck at the bottom. The rescuers are working day and night to save him," the artist added.
On Tuesday, the boy accidentally fell 32 meters deep into a dried-up, narrow and difficult to access well in the village of Ighrane, in the commune of Tamorot (province of Chefchaouen) while his father was doing work there. The rescuers are working tirelessly to save him. "I keep hope that my child will come out of this well alive," the father of Rayan said on Friday to the public television 2M. "I thank all the mobilized people and those who support us in Morocco and elsewhere."
