The gendarmes of Berrechid have managed to dismantle a cocaine trafficking network that rented cars to distribute drugs, in Marrakech, Casablanca, and at the same time arrest one of the traffickers. Wanted notices have been issued to find six other individuals involved in this case.

It took the owner of a car rental agency to file a complaint against a customer for this network to be dismantled. This man had rented two cars and did not give any sign after the expiration of the rental period, reports Assabah. The judicial services of the gendarmerie conducted investigations that proved fruitful. They were able to locate a first car using the GPS. During the search, they seized 90 grams of cocaine, a digital scale, as well as liquid products used for the preparation of drug doses.

In the wake, the gendarmes arrested the suspect. He confessed to the investigators that he was working for drug barons, for a daily income and a small amount of cocaine for his personal consumption. He then directed them to the place where the second car was parked in the commune of Deroua. The accused also revealed the identity of six individuals involved in this network. The judicial services have issued a nationwide wanted notice to find them.

According to the investigation, the traffickers took turns distributing the cocaine to wealthy people, particularly in Marrakech.
