CNOPS to Reimburse Covid-19 Tests in Morocco, Capped at 700 Dirhams

The costs of Covid-19 screening tests will now be reimbursed by the National Fund for Social Welfare Organizations (CNOPS). This decision mainly concerns tests carried out since September 10, 2021.
The decision comes following the regulation of the retail prices of SARS-CoV-2 screening tests by the Ministry of Finance since last September 10, the CNOPS said in a note. "The reference specified in the order of the Minister of Economy and Finance will be applied as the basis for reimbursement, provided that a medical prescription is provided with the file," it reads. As for the reimbursable expenses, they are capped at 700 dirhams for private laboratories and that of public institutions will not exceed 500 dirhams.

Covid-19 screening tests will be paid beyond 80% of the reference rates and each member will only be entitled to the reimbursement of two Covid-19 tests per year, the Fund specified.
