The Moroccan international considers this episode now behind him. Giving his impressions to the microphone of beIN Sports after the match won Wednesday against Tottenham (2-0) in the Super League, Ziyech indicated that he "does his job" and "tries to be as efficient as possible. Coach Vahid Halilhodzic had justified his choice not to call up Ziyech by a concern to maintain the cohesion of the group. The player has missed all the matches counting for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers because he was under sanction for indiscipline, in particular for his late arrivals at training.
