Chelsea Demands €35M for Ziyech, Blocking Ajax Transfer

While he said he was ready to let his attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech leave, who expressed his desire to return to the Eredivisie, Chelsea blocked the transfer of the Moroccan international to Ajax Amsterdam, his former club.
Chelsea has mortgaged the return of Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech to Ajax Amsterdam. "Ziyech’s deal with Ajax collapsed because Chelsea demanded €35 million for the Moroccan. Ajax wanted a loan with a purchase option, also because Hakim had opened the possibility of returning to the Eredivisie. But Chelsea only wanted a permanent transfer, so the deal was never concluded despite the rumors," Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano told CaughtOffside.
The 29-year-old player thus sees his wish to join his former club shattered. Hakim He had shone within the Dutch club for three years before joining Chelsea’s squad in the summer of 2020 as part of a €35 million contract. He failed to establish himself at Stamford Bridge. The Moroccan winger played only 14 out of 38 Premier League matches last season. He has scored 14 goals in 83 matches and won the Champions League, the Club World Cup and the Super Cup.
