Chelsea Blocks Ziyech’s Last-Minute Transfer to PSG Amid Document Errors

While Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech was about to sign with PSG, Chelsea thwarted the operation at the last minute at the end of the winter transfer window. A blow for the Atlas Lion struggling in his club, but also for the Parisian club who wanted to compensate for the departure of Spanish international Pablo Sarabia.
Tuesday was a long day for PSG. While they had reached an agreement for the dry loan without a purchase option of Hakim Ziyech with Chelsea, the transaction did not materialize. And for good reason, the English club sent the wrong documents three times, which delayed the operation, reports L’Équipe. So far, the Professional Football League has not been able to approve the contract.
As a result, the 29-year-old player who was betting on this operation to leave Stamford Bridge where he is not happy could not join the Parisian squad in search of an attacking midfielder to compensate for the departure of Spanish international Pablo Sarabia. Annoyed, the Parisian club filed an appeal with the LFP to try to save the transaction. But the chances of winning are slim.
