Casablanca Unveils 18-Hectare Anfa Park, Bringing Green Space to City Center

The new urban park in Casablanca, Anfa Park, has been operational and open to the public since Tuesday. It offers residents of all ages a space for relaxation and leisure.

Anfa Park is located at the heart of the Casa Anfa urban hub. It is a project carried out by the Anfa Urbanization and Development Agency (AUDA), a subsidiary of the CDG Group. The first phase of this park is 18 hectares (ha), and will eventually encompass a total area of 50 ha, according to AUDA, which organized a press visit as part of the opening. This urban park has landscaped walkways; vast green spaces are inserted: gardens, wooded areas and tree-lined lawns. And most importantly, access to this beautifully decorated leisure spot is free.

According to Hespress, which did the press visit, "the gardens stand out for their unique landscape imprint that covers 4 ha of green spaces. They offer a panorama of varied vegetation with many varieties of flowers and more than 150,000 shrubs of different species". Amidst the green spaces, one can see various fountains designed to bring "calm, serenity and freshness". There is also a water channel, a 700 m² dry musical fountain that presents "a choreography orchestrated by the whim of 74 water jets, misting, music and lighting effects. A 400-meter water channel is laid out along the park".

This urban park is also an attraction for children where everything has been designed to accompany families in their desire to offer them leisure and joys of living. Numbering four, the play areas are intended for children of different age groups from 3 years old. The park also offers spaces for running enthusiasts, including a 1.5 km jogging and walking loop, complemented by 5 sports equipment areas for the entire population for various uses.

Anfa Park also has infrastructure for watering the green spaces, security through video surveillance and anti-intrusion, lighting management, telemetry, the various installed sensor solutions, broadcasting, sound, dynamic display. In short, this park is state-of-the-art and offers all the desired comfort to all those who visit it.

The entire first phase of Anfa Park will be covered by a free Wi-Fi network for visitors. Solar-powered smartphone charging benches are also available for free, while interactive terminals are planned to liven up the reception of visitors and provide orientation and information on the life of the park.
