Casablanca Tramway Limits Passengers, Enhances Cleaning to Combat COVID-19 Spread

The Casablanca tramway operator, RATP Dev, limits the number of passengers and strengthens hygiene measures to ensure the safety and health of passengers and staff.
100 passengers seated and disinfection of equipment throughout the day. These are the new preventive measures to limit the spread of COVID-19. These decisions were made public through a press release.
The maximum capacity of each train in circulation on the two Casablanca lines is now limited to 100 passengers, the press release specifies. This in order to preserve the safety and health of all and above all, to remain in line with the preventive measures taken by the sector authorities. The operator has urged citizens to work to limit the spread of the virus and to use the tramway only in case of extreme necessity.
Together with Casa Transports, which organizes the sector in Casablanca, RATP Dev had already announced the day before the strengthening of hygiene measures and awareness-raising actions across the network. This specifically involves the disinfection of equipment at stations, such as validators, turnstiles and distributors, throughout the day.
This is in addition to the total disinfection, at night, of all the trains and the daily disinfection of the commercial agencies of Casa Tramway. All these measures aim to ensure the safety and health of both passengers and staff.
