Casablanca Region Hits New Daily High with 1,169 COVID-19 Cases

Casablanca is by far the region most affected in Morocco by coronavirus cases. In the last 24 hours alone, the economic capital and its region recorded some 1,169 new Covid-19 cases.
In detail, 969 people were infected in the last 24 hours in Casablanca, 58 in Mohammedia, 46 in Médiouna, 34 in Nouaceur, 27 in Berrechid, 20 in El Jadida, 15 in Settat and finally 10 in Sidi Bennour.
The region is also the one that has seen the most deaths since last night with 6 new ones in Casablanca. The other cities recorded no deaths.
It should be noted that the authorities have decided since Monday to place the city in semi-confinement with a ban on traveling in and out of the city and the closure of all schools.
