Casablanca Region Extends COVID-19 Curfew and Restrictions for Four Weeks

The Greater Casablanca and the provinces of Berrechid and Benslimane will observe the preventive measures against the Covid-19 pandemic for an additional four weeks. This is the decision taken by the government, effective December 20 at 9 p.m.
Among the measures taken by the government, we can mention the prohibition of all forms of movement (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.) and the obligation to have an exceptional travel authorization to the provinces mentioned above. The closure of neighborhood fields and parks are also part of the measures taken by the government, informs a government press release.
Similarly, restaurants, cafes, shops and large shopping centers will also all be closed at 8 p.m. This will also be the case for neighborhood markets, bars and gyms.
In addition, the old measures are still in place, such as the gathering of more than 10 people.
