Agadir Tightens COVID-19 Restrictions as Cases Surge

The resurgence of new infections in Agadir has led to the strengthening of restrictive measures to counter the spread of the coronavirus.
In a statement, the prefecture of Agadir-Ida Outanane assured that these measures will be applied from Sunday, November 22, 2020 at 9 p.m. for a period of 15 days. In this regard, the beaches, the Souk El Had and the local markets will be closed at 3 p.m. This is also the case for cafes, restaurants, shops and large shopping centers which will be closed at 8 p.m.
Hammams, beauty salons with the exception of hairdressers, gyms, parks and local sports fields also have the obligation to close at 9 p.m., as well as the suspension of bus transport, the statement said. Furthermore, the local authorities recommend remote work for companies that can apply it as much as possible. They also call on the population to adhere to these preventive measures.
