It will, among other things, improve the services provided to the inhabitants and visitors of the metropolis, but above all fight against various insects and stray animals that have multiplied in recent years.

Good news, no doubt, for the populations of the metropolis, who will soon be able to conjugate in the past this observed resurgence in terms of stray animals roaming in the white city.

The project in question is structured around 5 main axes, namely the fight against disease vectors, the fight against pests, the fight against reptiles and scorpions, the capture of stray animals and the carrying out of various sanitation operations. It is, according to the mayor of the city, a very important activity for sustainable development in Casablanca.

"We have mandated the SDL Casa Baia, because it has equipped itself with modern means, to allow the treatment of insects and the entire sanitation network, in terms of the fight against pests, the objective being to create a pleasant living environment for citizens," said Abdelaziz El Omari, mayor of Casablanca, to Hespress during the presentation ceremony of this project.

To stick to the essentials, it should be noted that the action plan of the project provides for the treatment of more than 120,000 manholes against rats and rodents, the fight against crawling insects, in more than 5,000 km of sewerage networks, the treatment of 50,000 km of boulevards and streets against insects and the capture of more than 30,000 stray dogs.

To this is added the treatment of more than 800 hectares of virgin land against rats and crawling insects, the establishment of a sanitary belt around the city of Casablanca to fight against stray dogs, as well as the fight against snakes and toxic insects. The same source indicates that a toll-free number has been set up by the project managers, 0800 00 45 45, as well as an application, "Casa mdinti", in order to receive requests and complaints.
