Along the highway connecting Berrechid to Tit Mellil, several major black spots have been identified. Heavy trucks unload rubble there every day, coordinated by intermediaries who bypass road checkpoints using invoices for construction materials diverted from their original purpose.

Faced with an estimated stockpile of 4 million tonnes of waste, the municipal council and the Ministry of the Interior have allocated 150 million dirhams for the temporary management of this crisis. The plan calls for transporting the debris to a controlled quarry in Nouaceur, subject to a tax of 10 dirhams per tonne, in accordance with the waste management law.
