The "Kremlin" of Bouskoura affair: a senior official suspended by the authorities

Suspicions of malfunctions in the application of the law, as well as in the administrative procedures and rules relating to the repression of urban planning offenses and the demolition of illegal constructions, have led to the suspension of the governor of the province of Nouaceur, on the outskirts of Casablanca, Jalal Benhayoun.

Brahim Al-Antri is now performing the functions of governor of the province of Nouaceur, on the outskirts of Casablanca, replacing Jalal Benhayoun, who has been suspended. He is attached to the prefecture without a specific assignment. At the origin of this suspension of the wali, the sudden interruption of the demolition work of a sumptuous palace located in Bouskoura, nicknamed "the Kremlin", due to violations of urban planning standards, offenses against permits and the nature of the activities carried out on the site, informs Hespress.

Large-scale demolition operations of informal depots are underway in several municipalities in the province, notably Ouled Azzouz, Dar Bouazza, Ouled Saleh and Nouaceur. These operations began last March on the orders of the authorities of the prefecture of Nouaceur. Currently, the demolition operations are being carried out on the territory of the commune of Bouskoura, particularly in the neighborhoods of Ville Verte and Lamkansa Sud. They will be extended to other areas, such as "Lapisa".

Local elected officials, close to advisors, as well as deputy mayors of municipalities in the province, are on the list of offenders. They are accused of having rented the depots to unregulated industrial units, mainly specialized in the manufacture of plastic bags, cleaning products and textiles.

Highlighted by inspection reports from the General Inspection of Territorial Administration, the mayor of the commune of Bouskoura, Bouchaib Taha, as well as his deputies Faouzia Saman, Abdellah Al-Amin and Mohamed Safri, were suspended by the governor before their definitive dismissal by judgments of the administrative court of Casablanca, in accordance with the legal procedures in force.
