Casablanca Finance City Retains Top Spot in African Financial Centers Ranking

The financial center Casablanca Finance City (CFC) once again occupies the first position in Africa, and the 54th place globally, according to the latest ranking of the best international financial centers, established by the Global Financial Centres Index (GFCI).
For the 31st edition of the GFCI ranking, 126 financial centers including Casablanca Finance City were studied. Among the criteria used to differentiate these centers are the business climate, human capital, infrastructure, development of the financial sector and reputation. In Africa, Casablanca remains the most attractive financial center, ahead of Cape Town (55th) and Johannesburg (56th), according to the GFCI ranking.
As for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, CFC ranks 3rd, behind Dubai (17th globally) and Abu Dhabi (31st). Casablanca Finance City (CFC) owes its reputation and position in the current ranking to the strong community of members composed of financial companies, regional headquarters of multinationals, service providers and holding companies.
