Casablanca Expands Public Transit: New High-Capacity Bus Lines Planned

A call for tenders was launched on Monday, March 16 for the construction of lines 5 and 6 of high-level service buses (BHNS) by the transport company Casa-Transport.
Casa-Transport is now focusing on the next step after the network diversion phase. According to the transport company, this involves the realization of the platform and the urban development from facade to facade. As for the work, it is divided into 4 lots for a total cost of 630 million DH.
The opening of the bids is scheduled for April 28. As for lines 5 and 6, they will have to complete the dedicated public transport network comprising 4 tramway lines and 2 BHNS lines, and will connect neighborhoods not served by the tram (such as Oulfa, Errahma, Al Qods, Laymoune...).
