This unprecedented experience of offering several services in the urban municipality of Casablanca was adopted by the city council members during the 2nd part of the February session.
The first validated document is related to the occupation of the public domain by the food trucks, which are 7 meters long and 3 meters wide, and equipped with GPS with a distance of 1 kilometer between each vehicle. They are called upon to offer services around industrial areas, public gardens, at the beach, universities... This authorization is valid for twelve months, renewable annually, indicates L’Economiste.
The owners of the food trucks will have to pay a quarterly fee based on the occupied areas and will have to comply with the applicable hygiene standards.
The kiosks, which must be built with non-flammable and stainless materials such as glass and aluminum, are specialized in the sale of books, mobile phones, ice cream, bill payments, and money transfers. They must not exceed 9.2 meters in length, with a space of at least 1.5 meters for pedestrians, as well as a distance of 3 meters from neighboring buildings.
