Morocco Resumes Print Newspaper Distribution After Two-Month Suspension

The return of print newspapers to kiosks is taking shape. According to the Ministry of Culture, press and publishing companies can resume their activities normally from Tuesday, May 26.
In an Arabic-language tweet, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Othman El Ferdaous, has granted the wishes of "newspaper directors and distributors in Morocco". While saluting the spirit of patriotism and "responsibility" of the media, he invited them to resume the publication and distribution of print newspapers and magazines from this Tuesday, May 26, 2020, after two months of suspension.
In his tweet, the member of the government recalled that the resumption will have to be done in "compliance with the health measures issued by the competent authorities".
Two months ago, newspaper publishers were ordered to stop printing and distributing their print newspapers as part of the measures taken to fight the spread of the new coronavirus (covid-19).
