Morocco Shuts Down Multiple Restaurants for Violating COVID-19 Health Protocols

About ten restaurants have been closed in Casablanca, Marrakech, Tangier and Agadir for non-compliance with the health protocol imposed on owners, in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the kingdom.
The Moroccan authorities had been more than clear with restaurant owners when they were allowed to reopen their establishments after more than three months of inactivity. A health protocol has been imposed on them. It is a question of respecting the current hygiene standards: disinfection and sterilization of restaurants, physical distancing of one meter, etc.
On the ground, it must be noted that many restaurant owners have trampled on the health protocol. In the race for turnover, they have shown a disconcerting irresponsibility. Some brands have not hesitated to allow boozy evenings, reports Assabah.
Based on these findings, the local authorities ordered the closure of about ten establishments in Casablanca, Marrakech, Tangier and Agadir, the same source said.
