Casablanca Airport Expansion Underway Ahead of 2030 World Cup

The National Airports Office (ONDA) is working on the extension of the Mohammed V international airport in Casablanca. The work should be completed well before 2030, the year when Morocco will co-host the World Cup alongside Spain and Portugal. A Spanish company has been appointed to accompany ONDA.

Architectural design and sustainability, expansion of the take-off and landing area and addition of two large terminals... The Mohammed V international airport in Casablanca will change in appearance over the next five years. And the National Airports Office (ONDA) can count on the Spanish company Ingeniería y Economía del Transporte to realize this ambition, but also the development program focused on the western part of the current stations, first and second. In this sense, the Spanish company will have to work for a better connection to roads and railways, in particular via the Al Boraq high-speed train, for which a special station will be built at the airport, on the line going to and coming from Marrakech.

A company of international renown, Ingeniería y Economía del Transporte is known for its airport development operations, particularly with regard to the spaces used, the necessary logistics, the essential modern services, the distances between stations, as well as the evaluation studies of the management of take-off, landing and passenger influx peaks. It provides transport engineering. The Spanish company also offers services in the fields of aeronautics, railways, urban transport, roads, telecommunications, the environment, architecture and urban planning.
