Canadian Travelers Choose Morocco Over US Vacations
This summer, Morocco claims the top spot among international destinations favored by Quebec travelers. A breakthrough that disrupts the habits of these tourists, historically loyal to the American or European market.
The direct route between Montreal and Casablanca ranks, for the second consecutive year, as the most booked cross-border trip from the Canadian province. Vacationers spend an average of 1,508 Canadian dollars for a round-trip flight in 2026, a rate in slight decline compared to the previous season.

Summer data collected by the FlightHub platform for the period from June to late August confirms this trend reversal. Morocco now captures 12% of total international bookings departing from Montreal. It relegates the United States, former leaders, to second place (10%) and significantly outpaces France (6%). With the addition of Tunisia, North Africa attracts 17% of Quebec vacationers, up two points year-over-year.
