CAF President to Decide Fate of Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon Visit

CAF President Patrice Mostepe is due to visit Cameroon this Monday on a visit that is already shaping up to be decisive on whether or not the CAN, scheduled for January, will be held.
Barring last-minute changes, the head of African football is expected by the Cameroonian authorities to discuss the future of the tournament.
Sources close to the confederation report that the final verdict will be handed down next Wednesday by the CAF president.
For its part, the host country, which presented a very strict health protocol on Thursday, is doing everything to avoid the catastrophic scenario of a postponement and is trying to convince CAF that the tournament can take place under the best conditions.
