Africa U23 Cup Draw Set for Thursday, Olympic Spots at Stake
The draw for the qualifiers of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations U23 scheduled for June 2023 in Morocco will take place next Thursday in Egypt.
This draw will take place in Cairo at 12:00 (Moroccan time), according to a statement from the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The final phase of the tournament will serve as a qualifying tournament for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, it is specified.
The 38 teams entered for the qualifiers will have their eyes riveted on the digital platforms of the body. Morocco, for its part, is automatically qualified as the host of the final tournament.
The first of these qualifiers is scheduled from September 19 to 27. The second round will follow, which will be played from October 21 to 23 and from October 28 to 30, 2022. The last qualifying round will take place from March 20 to 28, 2023, details the same source.
