CAF Inspection Team to Visit Morocco for 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Bid Evaluation

The inspection visit of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to Morocco and the other countries bidding to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) is scheduled for the end of the month, according to the African football body.
Thus, the CAF inspection commission will start its tour in Zambia on March 20. It is expected in Morocco on the 25th of the same month, a date that coincides with the friendly match between the Moroccan national football team and Brazil at the Grand Stade de Tanger. It will then visit the other countries, namely Algeria, Benin and Nigeria, which have submitted a joint bid.
According to well-informed sources, the winner will therefore not be designated at the 73rd FIFA Congress to be held in Kigali, Rwanda, on March 16, but rather at the CAF Congress, scheduled for Cotonou, Benin, next July. This seems quite surprising since Benin is also a candidate to host the event.
