CAF Announces New Dates for 2022 AFCON Qualifiers, Morocco to Face Central African Republic

Initially scheduled for last March, the 2022 AFCON qualifiers will resume next November, according to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
In a press release, CAF announced that the 3rd and 4th matchdays are scheduled for the period of November 9-17. As for the 5th and 6th matchdays, they should be played from March 22-30, 2021.
For its part, Morocco should host the Central African Republic in the next two matchdays. If the first leg is expected in the Kingdom, the Atlas Lions should return to the capital Bangui for the return leg.
At the top of Group E, the Moroccans have secured 4 points after a draw against Mauritania (0-0) and a win against Burundi (0-3). They are followed by Mauritania (4 points), the Central African Republic (3 points) and Burundi (0 point).
