CAF Advances $260,000 to Nations Cup Teams for Pre-Tournament Preparations

The African Football Confederation seems to have the good progress and high sporting level of the next CAN at heart, which will take place this summer in Egypt. Indeed, it has just opened its wallet to give the participating teams an advance of 2.5 million dirhams.
The teams qualified for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (which will take place in less than two months) will be granted by CAF an advance of 2.5 million dirhams. Its objective is to ensure the smooth running of their preparation camps.
However, this is only an advance. And CAF intends to be reimbursed by deducting the amount of the advance granted to each selection from the bonuses that it will receive.
It should be noted that the winner will be entitled to $4.5 million. And the teams that have performed the lowest will be awarded about a tenth of what the first will receive, namely $475,000. This information was revealed by the media Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
Of course, some teams probably do not need such low amounts, but according to the same media, this advance is mainly intended to help federations with limited budgets, in order to cope with the expenses they will have to incur. The gesture remains extremely commendable.
