Morocco’s National Team to Prepare for Africa Cup of Nations at Home

Contrary to several African countries participating in the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) football, who opt to send their national teams to Europe to prepare, Morocco has chosen to stay at home.
The news of this rather welcomed decision by many supporters of the Atlas Lions was given by Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), who was speaking to a local radio station.
To coordinate all this, a meeting last week brought together the various stakeholders, including the coach of the Atlas Lions Hervé Renard, in order to define the outlines of this training camp. The Atlas Lions are indeed awaited by the supporters who count on them to put on a good performance, failing the supreme title.
The Atlas Lions are positioned in group D, described as the "group of death" by the sports press, and they will have to fight hard to win against Côte d’Ivoire, South Africa and Namibia.
Recall that this Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) will be played in Egypt, from June 21 to July 19.
