Bullying Case of 12-Year-Old in Carcassonne Faces Dismissal, Sparks Controversy

New developments in the case of young Farès, this 12-year-old middle school student who had been the victim of school bullying in Carcassonne.
You surely remember his swollen face, following a violent fall down the stairs of his establishment last March. After investigation, the justice system has decided to dismiss the complaint filed by his parents, a decision that raises more questions than answers.
The announcement of this decision was made on Thursday by Géraldine Labialle, the public prosecutor of Carcassonne. According to her statements to France 3 Occitanie, the dismissal is due to the lack of sufficient characterization of the alleged facts.
The investigation is not closed, however. "The investigators are working," assures the prosecutor, without wishing to give more details at this stage of the case. Faced with this decision, Farès’ family does not intend to stop there and has already expressed its intention to appeal.
