Brutal Kidnapping and Rape of Teen in Formentera Shocks Spain

A 19-year-old Moroccan woman was kidnapped, tortured and raped at the end of July by two young compatriots in Formentera (Balearic Islands). The news has caused outrage in Spain.
In a complaint filed a week later with the Civil Guard, the victim claims to have been kidnapped, tortured and sexually assaulted by the two Moroccans for 14 hours in an abandoned house in Sant Ferran, reports El Taquigrafo.

Aged 32 and 37, the two accused allegedly burned the young woman with cigarettes and then drugged her with cocaine and crack so that she would not resist. A third Moroccan, who allegedly took part in these acts, is said to be on the run to Morocco and is actively being sought by the police.
The Ibiza investigating court ordered the provisional release of the two accused on Monday. The judge decided to take away their passports. They are prohibited from leaving Ibiza and Formentera and will be summoned for periodic appearances, according to the Superior Court of Justice of the Balearic Islands.
Meanwhile, several demonstrations, mainly called by human rights and feminist associations, have been organized on the island to condemn these acts and demand severe punishment for the aggressors.
