Brother Arrested for Murder and Arson in Boujdour Family Home Tragedy

Intensive investigations led to the identification of the victim’s brother as the main suspect in the crime. He was arrested shortly after the discovery of the victim’s body, a 22-year-old man found with apparent signs of violence following the extinguishing of an intentionally set fire at the family home, according to the DGSN.

The suspect is also suspected of having started this fire to conceal the evidence of his crime. He was taken into custody, at the disposal of the ongoing investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office.

The General Directorate of National Security also states that research is underway to determine the causes of this premeditated murder. The investigations continue to establish the motives for the commission of this crime.
