Moroccan Sisters Arrested in 5-Year-Old Brother’s Murder Case, Uncle Suspected

Two sisters aged 17 and 20 were arrested on Tuesday by the judicial police elements of Souk El Arbaa. They are allegedly involved in a premeditated murder case. The victim is their 5-year-old brother.
The two sisters were arrested at the same time as their 22-year-old uncle, who according to the police elements, would be the main suspect in this murder case. His two nieces are suspected of having participated in the elimination of their brother’s body and the concealment of evidence of the crime.
In a press release, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced that last Friday, the judicial police elements of Souk El Arbaa had initiated the procedures for examining the body of the young boy after finding it in an empty area located in Douar Ouled Ben Sbaâ.
The boy had disappeared under mysterious circumstances after attending a wedding in the region. His relatives had announced his disappearance and the searches and investigations allowed the police to find his body. An investigation was immediately opened to determine the conditions under which the young boy disappeared. The clues and some field research put the police on the trail of the uncle and then the two sisters.
The medical examination showed that the victim had not suffered any sexual assault. Pending the completion of the investigation, the two major suspects have been taken into custody, while the minor sister has been placed under surveillance.
