Brigitte Macron Dons Red Coat in Nod to Moroccan Flag During State Visit

First Lady Brigitte Macron, who is currently in Morocco as part of a state visit by the French president, has paid tribute to Morocco in a special way.
Brigitte Macron came to gesture friendship towards Morocco. In images showing King Mohammed VI welcoming on Monday the French head of state and his wife, in the presence of Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and Princess Lalla, we see Brigitte Macron in an elegant red fitted coat. An outfit that recalls the Moroccan national flag which is red with a green five-pointed star in the center.
Brigitte Macron has a preference for the color red. This is evidenced by the clothes she wears during meetings. In 2019, the First Lady wore a long, slightly low-cut red dress at a state dinner given at the Élysée in honor of the Chinese president. She also wore an outfit in red during the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Paris in May 2024.
"The way we are dressed induces the first relationship to the other, and it is sometimes definitive," Brigitte Macron confided to Madame Figaro, in an interview given last March. "If you are not dressed for the occasion, that is to say too much or not enough, this can have consequences."
