Moroccan Princess Lalla Khadija Turns 18, Poised for Expanded Royal Duties
Lalla Khadija, the youngest daughter of King Mohammed VI, celebrated her 18th birthday on February 28. Now of legal age, the princess will have to take on more responsibilities within the royal family.
Lalla Khadija is 18 years old. A birthday that marks an important milestone in her life. The princess will be entrusted with more responsibilities within the royal family. Discreet for the past five years, the young woman made her return to the public scene last October, during the state visit to Rabat of French President Emmanuel Macron, recalls El Debate.
During this public appearance, alongside her father, Mohammed VI, and her elder brother, Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, Lalla Khadija appeared in a sober and chic style. The princess was sublime in her designer clothes and exuded a royal ease and elegance during the welcoming ceremony for Macron at the Royal Palace in Rabat. She was also dazzling in her dark green and sequined caftan, and her luxury accessories, during the gala dinner in honor of the French president and his wife, Brigitte Macron.
Now 18 years old, Lalla Khadija seems ready to play a more active role in Moroccan public life, alongside her father and brother. Like all members of the Moroccan royal family, the young princess studied at the Royal School and speaks four languages: Arabic and French, the official languages of the kingdom, and English and Spanish. She is also passionate about art and music.
