Moroccan Princess Makes Rare Public Appearance During Macron Visit
Lalla Khadija, the younger sister of King Mohammed VI, caused a sensation during the state visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Rabat. Absent from the public scene for five years, the 17-year-old princess made a remarkable appearance.
Discreet, Lalla Khadija exuded a certain ease and assurance during this public appearance, alongside her father, Mohammed VI, her elder brother, Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, her uncle, Moulay Rachid, and her aunts Lalla Meryem, Lalla Asma and Lalla Hasna.
During the welcoming ceremony for President Macron at the Rabat palace, Lalla Khadija appeared in a sober and chic style. The princess was sublime in her designer clothes. With her composed demeanor and presence, she showed that she is already accustomed to official protocol. The 17-year-old princess was also dazzling in her dark green and sequined caftan, and her luxury accessories, during the gala dinner in honor of the French president and his wife, Brigitte Macron.
At almost 18 years old, Lalla Khadija seems to be becoming an essential figure in the kingdom. Like her elder brother and the members of the Moroccan royal family, she studied at the Royal School and speaks four languages: Arabic and French, the official languages of the kingdom, and English and Spanish. The young princess is also passionate about art and music and plays the piano.
