Brazil Files FIFA Complaint Over Stadium 974 Pitch Conditions Ahead of World Cup Round of 16

Despite their victory over Switzerland (1-0) at Stadium 974, the Brazilians qualified for the round of 16 of the 2022 Qatar World Cup have decided to file a complaint with FIFA because of the pitch. This same pitch that could also host Morocco’s round of 16 match if they qualify.
The Brazilian players would not have had the opportunity to play as they should have against Switzerland. They criticize the state of the pitch which, according to Bruno Guimaraes, was "very dry". This would have prevented the Brazilian team from "developing a faster passing game," reports L’Equipe.
So that the selection does not face the same difficulties on Monday, December 5, during their round of 16 match, the Seleçao’s management intends to officially file a complaint with FIFA in the coming hours so that a definitive solution is found. This is in the interest of the Atlas Lions, if they qualify for the round of 16.
"We already did it yesterday, but we will have a more in-depth discussion with FIFA. If we are going to play there in the round of 16, we think the pitch will be even more damaged. I don’t know what can be done, but something has to be done," said Juninho Paulista, the national team coordinator.
