Brahim Diaz chooses Morocco: the Spanish coach reacts

The coach of the Spanish national team, Luis de la Fuente, reacted on Monday to the alleged decision of Brahim Díaz to play for the Moroccan national team, stating that he "respects" the Real Madrid star’s choice.
"I respect his choice, everyone is free to make their own decisions. For me, there are always three things to remember: one that he can play for the national team, two that he wants to do it and three that the coach selects him," said Luis de la Fuente about Brahim Diaz’s decision to wear the Moroccan jersey.
And he added: "I haven’t talked to him. I call up or I don’t call up and people do what they think they should do. I’m sure I’ve called him up the most. I have a lot of respect for him and I wish him good luck."
De la Fuente will make public on Friday the list of players called up for the matches against Brazil and Colombia. The Spanish coach announces that there will "certainly be some new faces" on this list.
"It’s not about giving anything to anyone. We’re going to try to have a good squad and form a great group. Brazil and Colombia are high-level teams. We want to leave a good taste in our mouths for the future," concluded the Spanish coach.
