Border Bust: Luxury Car Thief Caught Fleeing to Morocco
The border police elements in Sète (PAF) arrested a 49-year-old man who was boarding for Morocco in a stolen car.
A border police check resulted on Wednesday in the arrest of a 49-year-old man who was about to go to Morocco in a stolen car. Among the 80 passenger vehicles screened in the afternoon of October 15, one of them, a Toyota worth 54,000 €, "came out stolen".
The PAF police officers uncovered a documentary fraud: the driver of the vehicle was in possession of false documents, reports Midi Libre, citing a false registration certificate and false insurance.
The person concerned is a repeat offender. Arrested a few months ago under the same conditions, he had been taken into custody. Since then, he has been summoned to appear in court by a judicial police officer. The driver will have to answer for the facts before the courts.
