Bomb Scare in Meknes: Two Shells Found in City Center Trash Cans

Two shells were discovered in garbage cans in the center of the city of Meknes. This alert caused panic among the population.
Units of the Judicial Police, the Scientific and Technical Police, as well as elements of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) and the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) were mobilized for more than 4 hours, in order to be able to neutralize the two shells.
Following the report of the agents on site, strict instructions from the High Command of the FAR were issued, with a view to blowing up the two devices by units specialized in explosives.
According to the daily Al Massae, the two shells were found on Friday, September 27, in the morning, by a street cleaning agent, while sorting the waste in search of valuable objects. He informed colleagues and law enforcement officers, before the information spread among the population.
