Since the arrest of the main suspect, his friend Jérémy Baraquin, 31, the versions differ. In a statement to the Évry judicial police, several witnesses claimed that the two young men would have met in a "festive environment" and more specifically at Rave parties, "where synthetic drugs circulate during the evenings." "Marwane did not frequent rave parties, as we can hear [...] We hear everything and anything," reacted Zakia, the victim’s aunt on the TPMP set. In early November, Naïm B. had nevertheless told Le Figaro that his older brother liked to party. The investigators are working to shed light on this murder.
On November 24, the lifeless body of Marwane Souidi, 25, living in Lagny-le-Sec (Oise), had been found in a plastic trunk stored in an elevator pit in Rives-en-Seine near Rouen (Seine-Maritime), reported Le Parisien. The young man’s family had reported his disappearance on September 21. Since that day, he had no longer given any sign of life after spending an evening at his friend, Jeremy B.’s, in Arpajon (Essonne).
