Beloved Moroccan TV and Theater Icon Noureddine Bikr Dies at 89

A monument of Moroccan television has left us. Noureddine Bikr, actor and man of theater who has rocked many generations in Morocco, died this Friday from a long illness.
The actor started his career with the Al Oukhouwa Al Arabiya troupe in the late 1960s. At the beginning of his theater career, he met Tayeb Saddiki, his mentor, who trained him and allowed him, above all, to make a name for himself on the Moroccan artistic scene.
Noureddine Bikr reached his peak in the 1990s. Moroccans know him in particular for his roles in "Cherreh Melleh" and the TV series "Sirb al-hamam", where he will pass the torch to Rachid El Ouali.
The actor will be buried this Friday after the Al Asr prayer in the Arrahma cemetery in Casablanca.
