Renowned Moroccan Theater Pioneer Abdelkader El Badaoui Dies at 87

The actor and playwright, Abdelkader El Badaoui, founder of the famous eponymous troupe "Badaoui" died this Friday, January 28, 2022. He was 87 years old.
The Moroccan cultural world is in mourning again. Barely dried tears for actor Abdelilah Hilal, Moroccan cultural actors will have to shed more. The actor and playwright, Abdelkader El Badaoui, founder of the famous eponymous troupe "Badaoui" which revolutionized Moroccan theater, died this Friday at the age of 87, reports Le360.
Born in Tangier in 1934, Abdelkader El Badaoui dedicated his life to the advancement of Moroccan theater. He shared his passion for theater and television with dozens of men and women. His method has also been taught in the curriculum of several faculties of letters in Morocco, as well as in several Arab countries.
The late Karima, Hasnaa, and Mouhsine’s children are following in his footsteps by pursuing careers in cinema.
